Mrs. Verna Estell Adcock, age 53, 124 Auburn Street, LaGrange, passed away in a LaGrange hospital Thursday morning, June 23, at one oclock. Mrs. Adcock is survived by her husband, William Carlos Adcock; three sons, James Adcock of Atlanta and Worth and Reed Adcock of LaGrange; one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Adcock of LaGrange; three brothers, Howard Pinkard of Pensacola, Fla., Oscar Pinkard of Roanoke Star Route, and Edgar Pinkard of Colbert, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. Wyatt Pool of Pensacola, Fla., Miss Myrtie Pinkard of Roanoke Star Route and Mrs. Marie Yates of Roanoke Star Route; and her mother, Mrs. R. L. Pinkard of Roanoke Star Route. Funeral services for Mrs. Adcock were conducted Friday afternoon at 3:30 from the West Point Street Christian Church, with the Rev. H. D. Mann and the Rev. Mr. Freeman officiating. Interment was in Cedarwood Cemetery, Quattlebaum's Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
