In Loving Memory of Mr. Jessie R. Berron
March 22, 1924 – June 24, 2009


Mr. Jessie R. Berron, 85, of Austin , passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 .

Recitation of the rosary will be at will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Angel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, also at the Angel Funeral Home, with Pastor Ramon Cadena officiating.

Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery .

Mr. Berron served his country with distinction as a member of the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a proud member of the VFW Post 8925 in Austin , Texas .

He retired from the state senate where he served as a guard at the State Capitol.

Mr. Berron was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Berron, parents, Refugio and Frances Berron, sons, Joe Montez, Robert "Walle" Romero, grandsons, Ronnie De Santiago, Daniel Zapata Jr., great-granddaughter, Veronica De Santiago, brothers, Johnny and Frank Berron, sisters, Carolina Martinez, and Carlota Zuniga.

He is survived by daughters, Mary Jessie Barron (Isidro Sanchez), Mary Helen Alba, Olivia Dominguez (Santos Jr.), Mary Esther Gonzales, Nora Rivas, Dolores Berron, Libby De Santiago (Juan), Mary Maldonado (Raul), sons, Eddie Barron (Amelia), Pete Romero (Blanca), Adrian Benites Sr., Vincent Herrera (Nina).

Sisters, Trini Gil, Mary Gonzales, Refugia Camarrillo, brothers, Louis Berron, and Paul Berron,

45 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren, special cousin, Marcos Barron, special nephew, Tony and Oralia Zuniga, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to special granddaughter, Jennifer Haros, for her care of Mr. Berron.

Honored to served as pallbearers are sons, Adrian Benites, Eddie Barron, Pete Romero, Vincent Herrera, sons-in-law, Santos Dominguez Jr., and Juan De Santiago Sr.

Honorary pallbearers are Leonard Rivas and Daryl Simcoe.

Now he's IN the Streets of Gold with the son of GOD and others from the Bible. You will be truly missed seeing u laughing and remembering me and your greatgrandkids daniel and daniela zapata.
