Claus Edens [1840 – 1904] Chilton Times --- November 26, 1904

Died, at his home in the town of New Holstein on Wednesday of apoplexy, Claus Edens. The deceased was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and was among the early pioneers of this section. He was known to all as an honest, upright man, true friend and neighbor, a loving and devoted husband and father. He leaves a wife and six children. The funeral will take place from the family residence on Saturday afternoon.
