Sierra Kay Simmons, 4, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident on Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

Visitation for Sierra and her sister Jessica Mattern will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Navasota Jr. High School in the gym, with Deacon Herbert Wheatfall and Dr. Ronald A. Bogs officiating. Interment will follow in Plantersville Cemetery.

Sierra was born on December 19, 2004 in Bryan, to James and Crystal (Watkins) Simmons. She was a member of the Dance Station and she loved horses, swimming, cooking and baking.

Sierra was preceded in death by her sister, Jessica Mattern; grandfather, James Donald Simmons and great-grandmother, Diane Kay Alston.

Survivors include parents, James Simmons, of White Hall and Crystal Simmons, of Navasota; brothers, Matthew Mattern, Joseph Mattern and Timothy Mattern, all of Navasota; grandparents, Penny and Robert Watkins, of Plantersville, and Louise Simmons, of Magnolia.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Mattern, of Navasota, Todd Laird, of White Hall, James Kelley, of Plantersville, Jacob Bennett and Jesse Maybaugh, both of Magnolia.
