Millard M. Epps, 78, died Saturday, June 2, 2001.
A native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, Mr. Epps was a son of the late John Toone and Ruby Mae Godfrey Epps, and was the widower of Susie Mae Iler Epps. He was a World War II navy veteran on the USS Yorktown and USS Aulteed for five years. He was a bookkeeper with Coca-Cola for 36 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of VFW Post 2872 and Athens First United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 5 p.m. today at Bridges Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Masquelier officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Council on Aging, 135 Hoyt St., Athens, Ga. 30601.
