Thomas Kearney Kemble, Seaman First Class in the Navy, went into the service in April, 1943. He received his boot training at Farragut, Idaho. Later he was shipped out on an aircraft carrier to the Pacific.
Thomas was graduated from Lemoore Union High School, in Lemoore, California, with the class of 1940 and attended the University of California. His parents were James Hugh and Gertrude H. Kemble of Kettleman City. His brother, James M. Kemble was killed in World War II while on a flight as a turret gunner on a B24 Liberator bomber. He was a Corporal in the Army.
