PARKERSBURG NEWS, 14 Feb 1979

Services for Charles M ANderson, 57, of 912 Tygart St., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Kimes Funeral Home. He died Tuesday morning at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Jackson County, a son of H. Clay and Esther Mae Rader Anderson of Slate. He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church, was an employee of the Blount Construction Co. at DuPont, was a member of Mount Olivet Masonic Lodge No. 3, Scottish Rite Bodies , 32nd degree, Nemesis Temple of the Shrine, Faternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 2307, the disablede American Veterans Post No. 6, Veterans of foriegn Wars No. 1212, American Legion Post No. 15, Amvets Post No. 34, and the Teamsters Local No. 175. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy in World War II.

He is also survived by his wife Fern Piggott Anderson, two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Flinn, of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Patti Carnes, of Vienna, a sister Mrs. Delores Clegg, of Pettyville; four brothers, William j. and Davis L. of Vienna, Carroll F. of Akron, Ohio, and Theodore J. of Darlington, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Tessie, Joey, and Tony Carnes.

He was preceded in death by a son Robert Keith, and a sister.

The Rev. Noble L. Crew will officiate, with burial in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. today.
