Luda was the Daughter of Joel Colly & Mary V. Jones Hamby.

Luda's given name is much discussed. Lidiia, Ludy, Ludie, Lidia and Luda. See the research note for more info.

She was Happily Married to John H. Gibson on December 2, 1900 in Cobb County, Georgia. They were together for 47 years.

Luda and John had six children. Blanche Gibson Jackson, Agnes Anne Gibson, Alice, Louise, John Carl and George Harold Gibson.

Research Note: Larry Cannon has suggested the following changes; First Name: Ludia; Middle Name: Rosa; and Nickname: Ludie. Another researcher has suggested the Middle Name: Rose. I have NOT been able to prove either middle name. She chose to go by the name Luda. My research shows her given name was most likely Ludia. If a more direct family member can share more information I will happily edit this memorial. At this time I am going with what her headstone says.

We would like to thank Solsen8 for taking the monument photo for our family member. Thank You Solsen8.
