MRS. CHARLES A. BLODGETT
Mrs. Ruth (Hibbard) Blodgett, wife of Charles A. Blodgett, died Friday in her home, 60 Monmouth Street, following a brief illness. She was born in Sumers [sic], Conn., June 4, 1893, daughter of Charles Hibbard and Martha (Pease) Hibbard. She had been a resident of this city eight years, coming to Springfield from Deland, Fla., where she was a music supervisor at Stetson University for 12 years. She also taught music at Hollis College in Virginia and in the public schools in Bristol, Conn. She was an active member of the Christian Science Church in this city and was a graduate of Monson Academy. Besides her husband she leaves an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Blodgett of Palmer. Funeral Services will be held in Byron's funeral home Monday at 3. Burial will be held in Springfield Cemetery.
