Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 o'clock Sunday from the Baptist church in Elkhorn by Rev. Alfred Erickson assisted by Rev. D. L. Druien and Rev. W. E. Burton. Interment was in the Elkhorn cemetery.
Mrs. May was born in Adair County September 28, 1860, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Click.
She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Campbellsville Presbyterian Church.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Sam H. May, July 5, 1889, he preceded her in death 42 years ago. To this union one daughter, Esther May, was born. Besides daughter, she is survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Ed Dabney, Taylor County; four sisters: Mrs. Susan Dabney, Mrs. Lillie White, Mrs. Mamie Murrah, and Mrs. Lucy Dabney, all of Elkhorn; five step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Mont Burton, Willard Carroll, Lee and James Robinson, Ray Benningfield, and Wilbur Weatherford. Flower bearers were: Mrs. Lee Robinson, Mrs. Bessie Robinson, Mrs. Lizzie Harrison, and Mrs. P. L. Campbell.
