Stuart Eugene Dunn, 85, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2004, at his home in Provo, Utah, following a long illness.Stuart was born in Paris, Idaho, on Nov. 14, 1918, to Crandell and Ida Jane Wright Dunn, the youngest of nine children. He grew up in Bear Lake County, Idaho, graduating from Georgetown High school in 1937. He worked on the family and neighboring farms until joining the Army in 1942. He served in England and France and was honorably discharged in 1945. Following his return from military service, he went to college on the G.I. bill, graduating in pharmacy from Idaho State University in 1952. Stuart married Alice Rigby on August 29, 1948. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on July 9, 1964. They made their home in Utah where Stuart was a pharmacist for Skaggs Drug for 33 years. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many positions. He and Alice performed a church service mission with Deseret Industries in 1991-1992. Stuart is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Alice; three children, Shelley (Art) Chaves of Draper, UT; Kevin (Janell) Dunn of Mapleton, UT; and Scott Dunn of Seattle, WA; eight grandchildren, Joel (Patty), Gabriel (Rosemarie), Adam, Mac, and Caitlin Dunn, and Nicholas (Laura), Timothy, and Sarah Chaves; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, five sisters, and three brothers. We can imagine the joy with which Stuart was greeted by his family on the other side.
