Catholic Church. They made their home in Gaylord until 1954 when they moved to Allen Park. Mary worked on the assembly line at General Motors in Livonia. After she retired in 1980, Mary and John moved home to Onaway. Mary was a long time member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and Altar Society in Onaway. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, sewing, and reading (especially history). Surviving Mary are her husband of nearly 65 years, John C. Dreffs of Onaway; son, Donald (Peggy) Dreffs of Ypsilianti; daughters, Rita (Armando) Villanueva of Allen Park and Regina (Richard) Kibat, also of Allen Park; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. O'Connell of Onaway and Steve (Charlotte) O'Connell of Fenton. Mary was preceded in death by six brothers, Andy, Mike, John, Frank, Sam, and Harry O'Connell and one sister, Ann Dreffs.
