HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Helen Geraldine Davis Melekoglu, 84, of Hedgesville, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at her home.


Born July 21, 1923, in Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Davis and Rose Caples Davis.


She retired from Mount Vernon Reality after 28 years of service as a Realtor in the Maryland, D.C. and Delaware areas.


She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Hedgesville.


She is survived by her husband, Ahmet Melekoglu; two daughters, Kathleen Flattery of Virginia and Ellen Parkes of Pennsylvania; three sons, Edward Barrier of Texas, Walter Sanford of Centerville, Va., and Blair Sampsel of Jamestown, Tenn.; one brother, Hugh F. Davis of Virginia; and 19 grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Sanford.


Services and burial will in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md., at the convenience of the family.


The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
