Major Robert K. Scott
Of Philadelphia, for the last sixteen years the principal clerk of the Inspection Division of the Contract Office, Post Office Department, died a few days ago at Marquette, Michigan, where he had gone to improve his health. The deceased was formerly a member of the Philadelphia bar and at the breaking out of the war was Captain of a company in the First Pennsylvania Regiment serving in the war. He also commanded the Cadwalader Greys of Philadelphia for several years. He was a gentleman of strict integrity and highly respected in the Post Office Department, with which he was so long connected.
