Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, May 09, 2009 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Saturday, May 09, 2009 at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton. Military honors will be by the American Legion Post 111 and VFW Post 1655.


Those left to honor Frank's memory are his wife of 63 years, Dolores; four daughters, Carla (Bill) Greer of Ottumwa, Iowa, Candy (Rod) Meyer of Killduff, Iowa, Cindy (Mike) Richards of Newton, Cris (Larry) Crady of Newton; his nine grandchildren, Scott Reed of Port Byron, Illinois, Chad (Mary) Meyer of Monroe, Iowa, Kristen (Todd) Kroll of Ankeny, Iowa, Jolee Meyer of Killduff, Iowa and her fiancé, Luke Jansen of Sully, Iowa, Tyler (Sandra) Richards of Newton, Lance Richards and his fiancée, Amanda Gretch of Roseville, Minnesota, Lindsey Richards of Newton, Danielle Crady of Newton, and Austin Crady of Newton; eight great-grandchildren, Tanner, Colby, Brady, Celia and husband, Andrew, Nicole, Monica and husband, Luke, Amber, and Ashley; his three great-great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jadon, and Hayley; sister, Amilee Parsons of Newton; and sister-in-law, Lorena Cleverley of Indianola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Grace B. (Barbee) Cleverley; grandson, Jay Reed; two brothers, Melvin "Casey" Cleverley and Billy Cleverley in infancy; and sister, Betty Wright.


Frank served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II.


Frank graduated from Baxter High School in Baxter, Iowa in 1944.


Frank worked 37 years for the Maytag Company starting as a production worker and retiring in 1981 as a supervisor. He had also done TV repair and worked at the Townsend Roofing Credit Union. He was a Lifetime member of VFW Post 1655, a member of the American Legion Post 111, and had been on the Tri-County Credit Union Board. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and the Chicago Cubs.
