DEATH FROM HEART FAILURE
Mrs. Catherine Bird, aged 63 , of Higginsville, N.Y., died very suddenly last evening, from heart failure while on her son's canal boat at this port. Her son's name is Patrick Bird and his mother was making the trip for pleasure. She was a widow and is survived by a large family.. None of her relatives resided in the Tonawanda's.
Mrs. Bird had been ailing for some time past and after her arrival here about 10 days ago, she was placed under the care of a physician. She seemed to grow better and was about the cabin yesterday when she was taken suddenly with severe pain about the heart. She sank into a chair and expired within 20 minutes.
The body was removed to the late home of the deceased this morning. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 7 o'clock

Higginsville, June 7 -- Mrs. Catherine Bird an aged resident of Higginsville, died on Tuesday at Tonawanda at the residence of her son. Mrs. Bird was 66 years of age. She leaves four sons and three daughters, and is also survived by one brother, David Longhran of Oneida. The remains were removed to Higginsville yesterday and the funeral was held at the Irish Ridge church this morning.

North Tonawanda June 6 - Mrs. Catherine Bird, aged 63 years of Higginsville, died suddenly of heart failure on her son's canal boat at this port last evening. Among the surviving relatives are Mrs. John Murphy, daughter, and James Bird, a nephew, both of Buffalo. She was a widow, the body was taken to Higginsville this morning by her surviving son, Patrick Bird, for burial.
