Mrs. Martha Allen
Mrs. Martha Blades Allen of Fulton died at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, at the Callaway Memorial Hospital. She had been a patient at the hospital the past five weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Maupin Funeral Home, and interment will be in the Williamsburg Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Carl Radford. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Allen, who had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Davis of Fulton, was born May 8, 1877 at Mineola, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Cowherd Blades. She was married to Charles Allen, January 9, 1907, and he preceded her in death in October 1924.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by a granddaughter, MRs. Martha Ann Findlay of near Clevelandm Ohio, and a great grandson, Bryan Danial Findlay. Six brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church.
