Madelyn Bernice Kramer, 73, of Fort Madison died at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at her home.
Born Jan. 4, 1934, in Deep River, she was the daughter of Aily and Pansy (Workman) Hicks. In 1979, she married Lawrence Kramer.
Mrs. Kramer was a homemaker.
She attended Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mount Pleasant. She was a member of Eagles Club, where she bartended for a few years. She also enjoyed sewing quilts and clothing, embroidery and crocheting afghans, making Christmas ornaments, painting ceramics and working with flowers in her garden.
Survivors included her husband of Montrose; three daughters, Gloria Goeke of Grinnell, Debbie Sitzes of Winfield, and Judy Miller Burlington; two sons, Micheal Minenga of Omaha, Neb., and Pat Weimer of Keokuk; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sis. Leona Ochs of Deep River.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, one son, two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison, where the family will receive friends.
The funeral for Mrs. Kramer will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Barr Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Roberts officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcolm.
