WILBUR LOREN LEE, MEMBER,
CHARLOTTESVILLE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Wilbur Loren Lee, 84, of Martinsville and formerly of the Carthage-Charlottesville area died Thursday at Miller's Merry Manor in Mooresville.

He was born September 16, 1916, in Rush County, a son of Wilbur and Mamie Barnes Lee. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. On August 31, 1946 he married Betty McDaniel, who survives.

He farmed for most of his life near Charlottesville and was employed more than 29 years by Chrysler Corp. in Indianapolis, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Charlottesville Christian Church and the United Auto Workers.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, are a son, Charles Robert Lee of Greenwood; a daughter, Debra (Mrs. Jerry) Starling of Fort Wayne; a brother, Wayne Lee of Jeffersonville; four grandchildren, Robert Lee, Christy Lee, Michelle Starling-Wells and Michael Starling; and a great grandchild, Cierra Choate.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Todd Funeral Home, Butcher Chapel, in Knightstown with Rev. Stanley Icenogle officiating. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
