When neighbors failed to see her about her house for several days, investigation Wednesday morning showed that Mrs. Louise Ruppenthal Avery, 73, had passed away sometime within the past two days. She had been a resident of Kiel practically all her life, and was one of the first pupils in the Kiel public school. She lived alone in her home just south of the First street bridge here. A brother, Adolph, lives in Cascade, and a sister, Mrs. Andrew Noll, lives in Chilton.
Pallbearers were August and Fred Ehnert, Philip Arnold, Ed. Baumann, Joseph Stoeger, and Louis Kuhn. The Kiel Frauenverein of which she was a charter member, attended the services in a body. The deceased was born February 3, 1858, in the home in which she died. She was the second of nine children born to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ruppenthal. Of the entire family only one sister, Mrs. Andrew Noll of Chilton and Adolph Ruppenthal, a brother of Cascade, survive her. She was married in her youth to Mr. Avery. There were no children.
