Born January 13, 1920, in Highmount, she was the daughter of the late Kerwin and Maude (Tracey) Armold.
She was a retired seamstress from the former Roanna Girl. Gladys was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She also love to watch wrestling on TV and play games with her family and friends.
Her survivors include a sister, Janet L. Sipe of Wrightsville; a very close nephew and niece, Gregory Sipe and Peggy McElroy; along with three generations of nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Highmount Cemetery.
