She was born September 25, 1929, in rural Chesterfield County to the late Wade and Mabel Pate Holley. She attended Antioch Grade School and graduated from Kershaw High School in 1946. Faith attended Winthrop College. On August 21, 1948, Faith was united in marriage to Robert M. Ford in Camden.
Faith and Robert moved to Abbeville, SC, with their children in 1961, and to Dillon, SC, in 1963. After raising their family, they moved back to Camden. Faith retired from Nation's Bank.
Faith was a member of Lyttleton Street Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Marietta Burns Circle and the Wednesday Morning Bible Study. She volunteered in the Gift Shop at Kershaw County Memorial Hospital.
Faith had a passion for antiques and enjoyed studying about and collecting them. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her son, Robert M. Ford, Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Columbia, daughters, Holley Holland and her husband, Mickey, of Loris, Jane Harris and her husband, Jerry, of North Myrtle Beach, Kathy Monahan and her husband, Woody, of Dillon; grandchildren, Jeff Harris, Brandy Holland Graham and her husband, Julius, Barbie Ford Jefferson and her husband, Dennis, Emily Monahan; great-grandchildren, Jackson Graham, Luke Jefferson, Camden Graham; sisters, Marian Ham and her husband Bill and Patsy Brogdon and her husband, James, both of Camden, her faithful companion - her pug, Molly; caretakers and friends, Sally Alexander and Jessie Quarles. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Ford, parents, brother, Wade Holley and nephew, Billy Ham.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Shelia Rogers and Rev. Jimmy Holley will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society of Kershaw County, c/o Gail Kirkland, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, SC 29078 or Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 S.
