FRANKLIN H. BLOOMER. M.D., Pleasant View. Franklin H. Bloomer was bora in Fayette County, Ohio. May 6, 1847. His father, Elijah Bloomer, was born in Greene County, Ohio, and his mother, whose maiden name was Nancy Hopkins, was born in Virginia. She died about the year 1833. The father is still living, and has about 500 acres of land in Fayette County, Ohio. Of the seven children who constituted his family, six are now living.

Dr. Bloomer was reared on a farm, and received a liberal education. He graduated at the Medical College of Ohio, at Cincinnati, and has since been engaged in the practice of medicine, with marked success.

On the 17th of November, 1875, he was married to Miss Eliza McIlvain, a native of Champaign Couuty, Ohio. By this union they were the parents of two children—Clarence M. and Burgess E., deceased. Dr. Bloomer has practiced his profession since 1873. In 1877, he located at Pleasant View, Chester Township. He is a member of La Fontaine Masonic Lodge, and of Wabash Medical Society, and himself and wife are members of the Christian Church.

In the fall of 1863. he enlisted in the Seventy-third Ohio Regiment, and took part in the Atlanta campaign, and was with Gen. Sherman on his marcb to the sea.

He is now very pleasantly located in the village of Pleasant View, and enjoys an extensive, lucrative practice.
