Roy T. Ackerman —Orangeburg Posted: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 1:00 am Roy Timrod Ackerman, 64, of 357 Mike Drive, Orangeburg, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at The Regional Medical Center.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, January 30 at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Patrick Latta and the Rev. Jim Parnell officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ackerman was born in Orangeburg, a son of the late Woodrow Ackerman and Velma Banks Ackerman. He was a retired
bookkeeper for the South Carolina State School Bus Maintenance Shop. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Ackerman was predeceased by a daughter, Wendy Hope Ackerman.Survivors include his wife, Jane Burke Ackerman of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Hal (April) Edwards of Creston; and a grandson, Tripp Edwards of Creston.The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home, Orangeburg.
