W. R. Dillard, a Lane County pioneer, died at his home at Goshen, January 12, of old age. He was born June 3, 1831, in Knox County, Tennessee, and was married December 8, 1853, to Miss Alzura Hendricks, who survives him. After coming to Oregon from California in 1858. Mr. Dillard and wife settled at Goshen, where they continued to live until his death. Mr. Dillard was a member of the United Brethren Church for many years.
