Lena Pappas Christou, 94, passed away Tuesday peacefully at home. Born in Greece, she migrated to the United States and has lived in Syracuse since 1951. She was a former owner /operator of Solvay Bakery. Lena was a member of St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Chris Christou in 1992. Lena is survived by three sons, George Christou of Marcellus, Paul (Maria) Christou of Skaneateles and James (Maria) Christou of Solvay; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call, Friday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
