25-year old Marine Corps Second Lieutenant J. W. Hill was one of six naval aviators of one flight killed when his F9F Panther jet slammed into a fog-covered mountain near Airfield K-3 (Pohang), South Korea.

2nd LT Hill was the son of Mr. & Mrs. J. W. Hill, Moncks Corner, SC, and the husband to Mrs. Betty Hill.
