5 year old Susan d/o Peter Dewitt & Mary A. Dodson. Her stone reads: First Interment Dau. of Peter & Mary Dewitt. The Dewitt Cemetery is now known as Antioch Cemetery. Their 5 yr. old died when she fell into a kettle of lye soap being made at their home.

Her siblings were: William, Hairot Caroline, D. Rudolph Stewart born in 1857, Sarah Jane, John Franklin, Mary Lou, George Edward, Peter A. Walter born abt. 1867, Lucinda Elizabeth born abt. 1852 & Hannah Massey DeWitt born abt. 1876.

Some now call it Antioch Cemetery after the Log Church across the road that age & vandals have long since destroyed. Antioch cemetery is on the border line of Texas & Shannon Co. MO.
