CLAXTON - Eunice Moore Adams, 89, passed away January 3, 2009, at Bethany Home Nursing Center in Vidalia, Ga. The Tattnall County native was a long time resident of Claxton. She was a passed member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught the Eunice Adams Sunday School Class and was a member of W.M.U. for 43 years. She was a present active member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Lewey Adams, Sr., and a daughter-in-law, Jane Adams. Survivors: two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. J.L. and Sharon Adams of Dublin and Rev. Hines and Martha Jean Adams of Murfreesboro, N.C.; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Monday, January 5th, 5:00 p.m., until, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home. Funeral: Tuesday, January 6th, 11:00 a.m., at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Gatus Cheatham, Rev. Paul Lewis and great grandson, Rev. James Tippins offiating. Burial: Brewton Cemetery.
