She was born April 15, 1915 in Cherokee County, S.C. to James Carlisle and Evie Hamrick Dover.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shelby for more than 50 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shelby Extension Department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Brown; two brothers; and two sisters.
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park.
