Harold Burgard, is a cousin to my father-in-law, The children of my father-in-law always called Harold "Mr.Burgard" and his wife Mrs. Burgard. Harold's parents were called "Grandma and Grandpa."

HAROLD DANNER BURGARD-

Harold Danner Burgard, age 78, Centerview, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening at the Warrensburg Manor Care Center.
He was born July 11, 1919, in Warrensburg, Missouri, the son of Silas Otis Burgard and Eva(Doak) Burgard.
On September 27, 1947, he and Maxine Simmons were married at the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg. She survives of the home.
Mr. Burgard was a World War II Veteran serving with the United Sates Navy in the South Pacific. He spent most of his life being a farmer in Johnson County.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg, the Holden Saddle and Bridle Club and the Warrensburg Saddle and Bridle Club. He also attended school at Central Missouri State University.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Burgard, Centerview; two sons, Harold D. "Danny", Jeffery Lin "Jeff", two daughters, Janet Sue, Carol Jean, two sisters; Emmalena Raker, Warrensburg, Missouri, Nadine Caldwell, Columbia, Missouri, eight grandchildren;, one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 2, 1998, at the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg. The Reverends N. Paul Callahan and Frank E. Myers officiated. Burial was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg in memory of Harold Burgard or the donor's choice and may be left in care of the funeral home.
