John 'Dick' Harrell, 56, died in the home of a daughter, Mrs. David Martin, LaFontaine, at 2:15 p.m. Sunday after being in failing health one year.
He was a lifetime resident of Wabash County born March 28, 1913. His parents were Issiah and Lorena (Rousey) Harrell.
He had been an employee of Wabash County Hospital.
Surviving are a son, John Harrell Brane, Wabash R. R. 3; three daughters, Mrs. David (Barbara) Martin, LaFontaine, Mrs. Dick (Florence) Martin, Wabash R. R. 3, and Mrs. Ben (Janet) Howe, Yuma, Arizona; three sisters, Mrs. Arden Thomas, Wabash, Mrs. Farris Holcom, Converse, and Mrs. Charles Kumley, Wilcox, Arizona; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eddingfield Mortuary. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Eddingfield with the Rev. William C. Babb officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, LaFontaine.
