Walter Lewis Amdor, 68, died Saturday, March 31, 1962 in Mennonite Hospital, Bloomington. Funeral services were held at the Stensel Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers were Merle Amdor, Laurel Amdor, Lyle Amdor, Linville Amdor, Roy Amdor and Ora Bernett.

He was born November 23, 1893 in Dearborn County, Indiana, the s/o James M. and Mary Winegard Amdor. He married Rella Mae Dewey (1897-1959) January 3, 1916 in Lawrenceburg IN. She preceded him in death on March 16, 1959. He is survived by three sons: Russell L. Amdor (1918-1997) , Farmer City; Wilbur, Waynesville; and Wayne "Squire" Elvin Amdor (1925-2007) of Lakeland FL; three daughters: Mrs. Evelyn Miller and Mrs. Effie Vance, Farmer City and Miss Edna Amdor, Bloomington. Ten grandchildren also survive. Also one brother, Elmer, with whom he made his home; four sisters: Mrs. Jennie Fillenwarth, Fostoria OH; Mrs. Anna Luhring, Tiffan OH; Miss Effie Amdor, Cincinnati OH; and Mrs. Verna Adams, Mahomet.

Mr. Amdor had farmed north of Farmer City for 31 years, before retiring two years ago and moving to town. He was a member of the Weedman Methodist Church and Modern Woodmen of America.
