MR. W. J. ADAMS DIES

Mr. William Jerry Adams, 61, prominent farmer of Lamar Co., died at his home in Barnesville Sunday night after an illness of two months. Mr. Adams was born in Pike Co., July 31, 1870. In December 1903 he was married to Miss Ettie Jones, and they have lived in Barnesville all of their married life.
Surviving him are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. F. F.Hunt, Atlanta, Miss Ruby Adams, Miss Frances Adams, Barnesville; four sons, Claxton Adams, Hubert Adams, Willis Adams, John Adams, all of Baresnville; sisters, Mrs. R. B. Smith, and Mrs. M. V. Brown, both of Barnesville; and brother, J. T. Adams, of The Rock.
The funeral seervices were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the homem, where scores of friends from this city and surrounding section assembled to pay their last tribute to the good man. Many beautiful floral offerings testified to the esteen in which Mr. Adams was held and the interest and sympathy for the family.
Rev. Harry V. Smith conducted the services assisted by Rev. J. P. Erwin, Rev. J. M. Martin and Rev. N. G. Perry. The interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was highly esteemed as a citizen and was regarded as one of the most energetic and successful farmers in this section. He was modest and peaceable in disposition and attened strictly to his own business, participatin little in public matters. He had the confidence and respect of everybody who knew him and his going will be mourned by a host of friends in addition to the members of his family, to whom deep sorrow in their sorrow over his death.
