Daughter of Abner and Rhoda BEDELL; named in Abner's will (1814 in Jones County, Georgia) as Nancy BEDELL. After Abner's death, Rhoda married 1816 in Jones County to William C. OSBORN. Rhoda's maiden name is reported to be Rhoda Clark SMITH. Abner also named a daughter Bessie SMITH in his LWT, who was to receive anything Abner had acquired from Mr. Charles SMITH. So either Charles was Rhoda's kinsman (father, brother) and daughter Bessie had married a SMITH (also presumably a relative), or Rhoda had a first marriage to Charles SMITH and Bessie was their daughter (so Abner's step-daughter).
