Sarah had 10 older siblings. Two died in infancy. Three brothers (Branson, Carson, Addison) died in the Civil War, and a 4th (Bart, who moved to Mo.) was injured in the war. Two other brothers (Allen and Lawson) moved to Missouri. One sister (Elizabeth) moved to Texas. Another sister (Nancy) is buried in Bryant-Sisk.
