Jim Adams

Graveside services for Jim Adams, 70, of Ridgeway, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, in Emblem Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Dittmar officiating.

Mr. Adams died at 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Lubbock, the son of Albert and Willie Howse Adams. He married Marie Tucker on April 26, 1963 in Dallas. She survives.

Mr. Adams was a retired truck driver and a Baptist. He was a Marine veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include two sons, Gary Travis Adams of Ridgeway and James Anthony Crider of Sulphur Springs, one daughter, Teresa Jo Bird of the Beckham community; a sisters, Ruby Wilson of Irving; three brothers, Delbert Adams of Quinlan, Boyd Adams of Irving and Frank Adams of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Sam Adams.
