"Mr. Mauney, 60, of 110 Church Street, Lattimore, NC passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Ticona where he was a maintenance group leader. Mr. Mauney was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Army.

Mr. Mauney was preceeded in death by his parents Bill Mauney & Edna Ruth Black Mauney, and a sister Betty London.

Mr. Mauney is survived by his wife Helen Canipe Mauney of the home, a son Airman 1st. Class Jeremiah Appleman of Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, and a sister Doris Lloyd of Lattimore. In addition to these he is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Max Burgin and Mr. Wayne Hall.
