John "Johannes" Stehle, aged 79, of Subico (Logan County) died Saturday, August 7, 1982. He was a retired farmer and a Catholic. John came from Germany in 1922. He was truly proud to be an American.
Survivors are his wife, Katherine Stehle; two sons, Anthony A. Stehle of Little Rock and John Joseph Stehle of Paris; two daughters, Rose Mary Spanel of Levaca and Ann Martin of Paris; three sisters, Mary Leuther, Sister Benevitta and Ann Dieringer, all of Germany, thirty-five grand-children and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Saint Benedict Church here.
Burial will be in Saint Benedict Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home of Paris.
