Benjamin Todd was born May 12, 1813 in Maryland, one of fourteen children born to Samuel Todd (1765-1844) and Lucy (Shivers) Todd (1766-1844. Benjamin moved with his family to Beaver County, Pennsylvania and there married Eleanor Lyons (1790-1874) in 1812. They had eight children. Benjamin was a farmer. He died at age 57 years. He is buried next to his wife, Ellen (the stone reads "Elen").
