My Grandmother was born to Effie Celia Roberts Berg and John Johnson Berg. She was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Shortly after her birth her parents moved to Washington state where they remained. Leavy married Richard Moe in LaCenter, Washington November 7, 1900. They had 9 children. Two died as children, Purley Kenneth and Alice Virginia. Their remaining children were Vinnie, Hazel, Myrtle, Rachel, Melvin,Leonard. One son Lawrence is still living.

Leavy and Richard had a hard time raising their family during the depression in Oregon but I guess times were hard for everyone then. I remember her as a sweet lady who loved her children and grandchildren.

A BIG THANK YOU TO NO NAME FOR SPONSORING MY GRANDMA.
