Mrs. Alice Devers, 83, a guest at the Luther Townhome and formerly of 219 Ruby Street, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Horace B. and Emma L. Heister Vondersmith. She resided in Lancaster her entire life. She was the widow of Pierre S. Devers. Mrs. Devers was employed as a bookkeeper for many years in a family-owned business. She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She is the last of her family.
