CLARENCE PEASE, 96, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at Shepherd of the Hill, Kendallville. Born July 9, 1912, in Dunkirk, Ind., he was the son of Godfrey and Ethel (French) Pease. He married Cleo Johnson on Feb. 27, 1938, in Columbia City; she preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 2005. He was a retired independent milk hauler for 40 years. He also drove school bus for 11 years for Dekalb schools. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Surviving are sons, Marvin (Donna) Pease of Albion and Bobby (Linda) Pease of Bloomington; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; half brother, Burl Pease of Roanoke; and half sisters, Charlotte Wells of Michigan and Zephyne of Minnesota. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville. Pastor Kathleen Haller officiating. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
