FRUITLAND, Idaho - Alice Irene "Boots" Curtis, 75, of Fruitland, Idaho, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at her home. Funeral services were held Friday, July 25, at Christian Life Fellowship in Ontario, with Pastor Jack Becker officiating. Interment was at Park View Cemetery in New Plymouth, Idaho.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1933 in New Plymouth, Idaho to John and Marguerite (Miller) Hammack. She graduated from Prairie City High School.

On March 8, 1952, she married James D. Curtis in Prairie City. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Survivors include her son, James Dale Curtis of Prineville; daughter, Julie Ann Groocock of Astoria; brother, Delbert (Bud) Hammack of Vale; sister, Karen Hensen of Fruitland, Idaho; four grandchildren, Steven M. Terrill, Matthew A. Curtis, Ethan A. Curtis and Albert Curtis; and three great-grandchildren, Cara, Elle and Ashton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Curtis; daughter, Terry Terrill; brothers, Bill Hammack and Robert "Bob" Hammack; sisters, Patty Hammack, Teresa Raines and Sharon Farni.
