Beulah Christian

Early last Saturday, July 16, as the early sun began to shed its ray of light over the city of Rockdale, the death angel spread its wings and descended from the glories of the Father and caught away the soul of one of Rockdale's loveliest and sweetest young christian girls.
Miss Beulah Christian was a member of the First Baptist Church, and one of its most faithful workers. She was also a member of the Fidelis class. This class of girls are simply heart broken and will miss the ever smiling and pleasant countenance of their class mate.
She had suffered long, having been in bed for several weeks, but in spite of her sufferings and afflictions she always carried the same submissive attitude towards the Savior whom she loved to her last moment, maintaining the self assurance that whatever was God's will, was her's.
It is hard to give up one who it seems could have been so useful here in this world, but knowing God has work for us all to do in Heaven we feel that the Heavenly Father had need for her, and we know that He doeth all things well.
And as we cherish the memories of one so dear to all our hearts we extend to the dear widowed mother and brothers and sisters our sincerest sympathy in this sad hour of their bereavement, earnestly beseeching the Heavenly Father to grant them the consolation they so much moved and so highly esteemed; is softened by the joy of the assurance that in departing she has gone to be with Christ, which is far better. - Contributed

CARDS OF THANKS
We wish through the columns of The Reporter to extend our most sincere thanks to our friends and neighbors for the many kindnesses shown us, and the beautiful flowers sent during the sickness and death of our daughter and sister, Beulah Christian. Especially do we wish to thank Rev. A. R. Toby for his kindness and prayers and untiring effort.
