Vernon Dale Bolton died on Friday, January 23, 2009, in Albuquerque surrounded by his family. He was born October 18, 1925, in American Falls, ID, to Ross Lee Bolton and Florence Rowe Bolton, the youngest of seven children. He is survived by his four children, Pamela Inhoff of Mesa, AZ, Paula Adams and Robi Lynn of Albuquerque, and Richard Bolton and wife, Kathy Gursky of Los Alamos; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his cousins; and good friends, Jay and Danelle Fransen; and his second wife, Kathy Barth Bolton. Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Patsy Bolton. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and then went on to work at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a machinist until he retired in 1983. His retirement years were spent between Arizona and New Mexico, and he was happy to be close to many family members in his last years. A private graveside services will be held at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to The National Breast Cancer Foundation in Mr. Bolton's memory.
