Mrs. Sylvia Arnold, 82, of 297 E. Southern av., died at 10 p.m. Tuesday in Community Hospital following one year of failing health and one week of serious illness.
She was born Aug. 20, 1889, in Clark County, the daughter of Hiram and Anna Ike Rust. She was the widow of Arthur Arnold.
Mrs. Arnold was a member of the Third Church of God and had resided in Clark County all of her life.
Survivors include one brother, William, of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Her body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home.

Her body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home for services at 1:30 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Clifford Corns of Third Church of God. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
