Born Dec. 1, 1919, in Dexter, daughter of the late Fred and Canna Myers Dixon, she lived in the West Pleasant Valley community most of her life. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, she was also a member of the Dexter Hospital Auxiliary and Golden Age Quilting Clubs.
On Jan. 18, 1946, she married Russell Chasteen who preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1987.
Survivors include: three sons, William Chasteen, Gary Chasteen and Terry Chasteen; one brother, Clyde Dixon; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Dixon and Tommy Dixon; and one sister, Delma Dixon.
Visitation was held at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services were scheduled with The Rev. Terryl Almond officiating.
Burial followed in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
