Camille Jules Lefort, 84, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 1:13 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be at noon Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Savoie Lefort; three sons, Michael Lefort and wife, Kathy, Donald Lefort and Dean Lefort; three daughters, Camellia Childress and husband, Don, Katie Bourgeois and husband, Leverence, and Judy Lefort; one sister, Janet LeBouef; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce and Leoncia Plaisance Lefort; and one sister, Rosie Galliano.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW Post 8530 of Larose, past board member of Hibernia Bank and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
