Funeral for Esther Mae Hardy, 95, of San Augustine will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, San Augustine, with Chaplain Dee Black officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery, San Augustine.
Mrs. Hardy died Jan. 8, 2008, in San Augustine. Born Dec. 6, 1913, in Dothan, Ala., she was the daughter of J.S. and Rennie Lewis Lott. She was a homemaker and affiliated with White Rock Baptist Church. She was married to Maurice Hardy, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Donald Hardy of Broaddus and David Hardy of San Augustine; daughters, Ruby Ellington of Lufkin, Frances Lawson and Nancy Metteauer, both of Nacogdoches, Lois Ellington of Etoile and Joy Navratil of San Augustine; sister, Texie Atwell of Porter; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
